Has anyone had any experience with these and what do you think of them?

Powercranks are a fairly expensive and also somewhat advanced training tool. I feel quite sure the inventors of them would insist the benefits are significant for everyone. I do have PowerCranks, but honestly, have not given them a fair go - ie: I have never ridden them exclusively, for consecutuive weeks or months, to fully adapt to them. They are quite hard to get used to and I believe they would help me to improve a bit, if I made a commitment to using them. Dedicating a bike to them has always been an issue for me.

Pros and cons have been discussed in quite some depth, on Slowtwitch Forums, in the past. Go the the link below and search Power cranks (or PC's) to read opinions from a depth of users.

I would advise that you aim to keep things simple. There's a lot of marketing hype in our sport. If your adhere to sound training practices, follow a structured program and are prepared to work a bit, you'll continue to improve and you'll do well.

If you do not own a Computrainer, I feel that would be a far more versatile investment, as compared to PC's.
