Coach,
I've heard a lot of good things about the supplement but did have one person tell me that it didn't help endurance sports and it interfers with the body's ability to use water during a race?

What do you think?

Thanks

I understand that this supplement may help to increase strength and power. However, there are side-effects that include increased body-weight due to water retention. One WADA document states that this greater (intracellular osmotic) load can lead to increased muscle cramping, muscle tears, electrolyte dilution due to intramuscular water retention, gastrointenstinal upset and dehydration.

Marketing for this supplement implies significant 'performance enhancements' for some sports. As to the possible benefit to endurance athletes, I don't think that has been proven and the potential side effects are certainly very risky ones, in terms of endurance sport performance.
