First off, I am a very happy customer - I really like what you've done with the program. This is not all inclusive, I will have some more ideas down the road, but after a few weeks here are few things I wish it did:

1)Already covered elsewhere, but I want to upload workout data to eRacePlanner from my Forerunner.
2) I also want to download the workouts from eRacePlanner into my forerunner. Then my watch can guide me through the workouts. Would require a slight change to the workout descriptions as the individual segments would need to be detailed in data points like Garmin Training Center does. This would be a huge win - the forerunner like many of the devices is very helpful and having this system be able to drive the programs in the watch would be very useful to me.
3) Detailing the individual workouts like would be required in Point 2 would be helpful, as it leaves little room for interpretive error. There's a little bit of uncertainty with some workouts making some workouts more difficult to figure out than they could be.
4) I'd like to be able to double click a workout session in the monthly view of the Program Control and have it pull up just that workout session. When entering data after a workout, I keep trying to do this naturally from the monthly view.
5) When viewing workouts in the daily view, as I add comments to the individual workouts (as opposed to the overall comments for the day, in which this doesn't occur) text wrapping doesn't seem to work, so the text becomes one long string outside of the box. Error is fixed when printed. Also, I can't hit return and start a new line in the comments box.
6) From the Main Control window I'd like to be able to double click a week and have it just pull up the program week, or at least the program control window.
7) I'd love to be able to export the programs so that I can get it integrated onto my Outlook calendar. Even better if I can make it synchronize so that as I update it in either place, it remains correct in both places, but that's a lot of work on the programming side.
8) Consider partnering with, or at least writing an app to export the workouts to other programs for the workout data analysis. Might make the most sense, rather than writing new code to recreate what's already out there in Training Center or Sporttracks etc.
9) In the program building module, it would be helpful if there were a few columns in which I could lay out the templates so I could compare workouts in the same time slot and choose one over the other. For example, I'm planning on an olymic in June and a HIM in Sept. The Olympic occurs a few weeks into the HIM program. So when I lay out the template for the Olympic building up to the Olympic, I have to choose, AS I LAY IN the HIM template, the workouts that will replace each other, but its considerable work to go compare them. If there were two colums, I could lay them both out, then choose which one I want for a particular time slot with them easily comparable.

OK, enough for now. I really like your software and I hope these are helpful ideas.

Hi C,

I'm glad you like our software.

You have some great ideas, some easier than other to implement, so I will give each comment more thought and get back to you with the points we can add into the next update.

The big one is the device upload functions, this will happen, but to do it right is a big job as some suppliers are very guarded about how they pass data, as they want customers to use their software. The most likely scenario is that we will deal with one supplier at a time and add it's devices to our system.

Thanks again for your comments.

Regards,

Mike Read
